“Perfect motel just a few minutes walk from town”

4 of 5 bubbles 9 November 2016

Great motel, conveniently located on the main road into Rutherglen. You are 5-7 mins walk from 3 pubs, the main shops, and an IGA. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a great location to visit a variety of wineries. The room was clean, heating worked well, good free wi-fi, good range of channels on TV. Really, everything you want from a motel. Not really equipped to make meals (e.g. you get a kettle and that's about it), but we made do with a box of cereal and some milk for a DIY breakfast, then we were out all day. The room service breakfast looked reasonably priced so that's an option too. I would definitely recommend this motel for anyone looking to base themselves somewhere convenient and visit the wineries.

“Perfect location”

5 of 5 bubbles 7 November 2016

We have just spent 3 nights at the Wine Village. Our room was very clean, quite large and very comfortable. The owners are particularly helpful. There is a pool in a very pretty garden with a BBQ and garden furniture. The location is perfect. Tuilleries is just across the road for fine dining. There are 3 pubs within a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed really good meals at the Poachers ?. You might need to book on a Saturday night. There is a very well stocked IGA supermarket in the Main Street, a brewery, a pie shop and a number of bakeries and cafes. The staff at the Information Centre are brilliant.

“Our yearly wine snobs tour”

5 of 5 bubbles 18 October 2016

Ideal spot on the edge of town, the managers were friendly and helpful and a great base for our Wine Snobs tour - close to town and quiet, they have a nice spot out front where we could eat cheese and biccies. Owner is a sculptor

“Nice place to stay”

4 of 5 bubbles 13 October 2016

I recently stayed here for a weekend away wine tasting in the Rutherglen region.

The room we stayed in was very clean, comfortable, and a reasonable size. There was free WiFi access provided, a reasonable size minibar fridge (good for chilling water bottles), plus a good sized LCD TV, and bed. It was reasonably quiet most of the time.

Whilst we didn't order room service or use the minibar the prices quoted were quite reasonable.

The only criticism I could make was that the hair dryer in our room literally exploded when my wife used it, whilst she wasn't hurt it did give her a fright. The offending dryer was removed from the room the next day.

It is only a short walk to the main shopping / restaurant / pub strip in Rutherglen which means you can leave your car and not have to worry about driving home. Its is also only a short drive to most wineries from here as well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided great service during our stay.

“Great accommodation.”

4 of 5 bubblesReviewed 30 September 2016

Have stayed at this motel before. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, well maintained units. Perfect spot for the wine lover or just a passing tourist. Vineyards not far from the motel. There is plenty of parking and a pool which would be very inviting in the warmer months! As we had a tight schedule on last day the Owner very obligingly helped me out with my laundry duties so we were set to go the next morning. I certainly rate him!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms ok but probably wouldn't choose next to laundry. Still not a problem.

Green Features: Very good. Separate bins in unit. Bucket in shower for excess water catchment. Solar powered pool heating. Linen/towel change if requested.

“An adequate place to stay”

4 of 5 bubblesReviewed 18 September 2016

Well located but surprisingly quiet for a Main Street. Close to city centre and a perfect location to use as a base to visit the many fine wineries in the area. Beds were comfortable enough. Room was clean. Staff were friendly and inviting.

Green Features: Recying bin provided and a bucket to collect water in the shower is available.
